1.What Cookies Are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. It lets the site recognise your browser between requests — which is how you stay signed in as you move from page to page instead of having to re-enter your password each time.

Related technologies include local storage and session storage, which work similarly. Where this policy says 'cookies', it covers those too.

2.Our Position on Tracking

Furnish Care, Inc. does not use advertising cookies, advertising or social media tracking pixels, or cross-site behavioural profiling. We do not sell or share browsing data with advertisers.

The one optional tool we use is Google Analytics, which measures how the public site is used. It is off until you allow it, and it never sees the member area.

This is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight. Members upload photographs of the interiors of their homes, and we hold that data to a higher standard than a typical retail site would.

3.Strictly Necessary Cookies

The cookies below are strictly necessary to operate the service and are always on. There is no way to provide a signed-in member portal without them.

• Authentication session — keeps you signed in to the member portal and identifies which account is making each request. Expires when your session ends or after a period of inactivity.
• Session refresh token — allows your session to renew without forcing you to sign in repeatedly. Removed when you sign out.
• CSRF protection token — proves a form submission genuinely came from our site, preventing another site from acting on your behalf. Expires with the session.
• Load and routing preferences — set by our hosting provider to route requests consistently. Contains no personal information.

4.Analytics Cookies (Optional)

If you choose "Allow analytics", we load Google Analytics, a measurement service provided by Google LLC. It tells us how many people visit, which pages they read, how they found us, and at which step people leave the sign-up form.

Until you choose, and if you choose "No thanks", the Google Analytics script is not loaded and none of its cookies are set. We have also limited what Google receives when it is on:

• Member-area pages — the portal, your account, and staff pages — are never reported by their address. Google sees them only as a generic "member area".
• Web addresses are stripped of everything except campaign tags, so nothing you type into a form is included.
• For sign-up, we record which step of the form was reached and, on completion, the plan and price chosen. We never send your name, email, phone, address, answers, furniture records, or photographs.
• Google's advertising features — Google signals and ad personalisation — are switched off, so this data is not used to show you ads.
• _ga — distinguishes one visitor from another. Expires after 2 years.
• _ga_BQ69N6BNVY — keeps track of the current visit. Expires after 2 years.

5.Cookies Set by Our Payment Processor

When you reach the payment step, Stripe sets its own cookies to process the transaction and detect fraud. These are set by Stripe rather than by us, and are governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

We never receive or store your full card number. Stripe handles card data directly and returns only a customer reference and subscription identifier to us.

6.Controlling Cookies

Every major browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies through its settings, and offers a private browsing mode that discards them when the window closes.

To change your analytics choice at any time, use the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page. Turning analytics off deletes the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.

Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will prevent the member portal from working — you will not be able to sign in, register furniture, or schedule a care visit. The public pages of the site will continue to work normally.

We ask before setting analytics cookies and never set them by default. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as "No thanks" unless you later turn analytics on yourself.

7.Do Not Track

Some browsers send a 'Do Not Track' signal. There is no industry consensus on how to interpret it, so we do not respond to it specifically. We do honour Global Privacy Control, as described above, and we never track you across other sites regardless of either signal.

8.Changes to This Policy

If we introduce any other cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will update this page, ask for your consent before setting it, and change the date above. We will not quietly begin tracking.
