1.What Cookies Are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. It lets the site recognise your browser between requests — which is how you stay signed in as you move from page to page instead of having to re-enter your password each time.

Related technologies include local storage and session storage, which work similarly. Where this policy says 'cookies', it covers those too.

2.Our Position on Tracking

Furnish Care, Inc. does not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or cross-site behavioural profiling. We do not sell or share browsing data with advertisers, and we do not embed social media trackers.

This is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight. Members upload photographs of the interiors of their homes, and we hold that data to a higher standard than a typical retail site would.

3.Cookies We Set

The cookies below are strictly necessary to operate the service. There is no way to provide a signed-in member portal without them.

• Authentication session — keeps you signed in to the member portal and identifies which account is making each request. Expires when your session ends or after a period of inactivity.
• Session refresh token — allows your session to renew without forcing you to sign in repeatedly. Removed when you sign out.
• CSRF protection token — proves a form submission genuinely came from our site, preventing another site from acting on your behalf. Expires with the session.
• Load and routing preferences — set by our hosting provider to route requests consistently. Contains no personal information.

4.Cookies Set by Our Payment Processor

When you reach the payment step, Stripe sets its own cookies to process the transaction and detect fraud. These are set by Stripe rather than by us, and are governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

We never receive or store your full card number. Stripe handles card data directly and returns only a customer reference and subscription identifier to us.

5.Controlling Cookies

Every major browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies through its settings, and offers a private browsing mode that discards them when the window closes.

Because every cookie we set is strictly necessary, blocking them will prevent the member portal from working — you will not be able to sign in, register furniture, or schedule a care visit. The public pages of the site will continue to work normally.

We do not display a cookie consent banner. Under the ePrivacy Directive and comparable rules, consent is not required for cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver a service the user has requested, and we set no others.

6.Do Not Track

Some browsers send a 'Do Not Track' signal. There is no industry consensus on how to interpret it, so we do not respond to it specifically. This makes no practical difference: we do not track you across sites regardless of the signal.

7.Changes to This Policy

If we ever introduce a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will update this page, add a consent mechanism before setting it, and change the effective date above. We will not quietly begin tracking.
