Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and the specific protections that apply to photographs of your home and belongings.

1.Information We Collect
Furnish Care, Inc. collects information you provide directly and a limited amount generated automatically when you use our website and member portal.
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, and password (stored only as a cryptographic hash — we never see your password).
- Service address: the property where covered furniture is located, plus any access notes you provide such as gate codes or parking instructions.
- Furniture records: descriptions, manufacturers, purchase years, estimated value ranges, room locations, and condition notes for pieces you register.
- Photographs: images you upload to establish condition baselines, document a concern, or support a care request.
- Payment information: processed by our payment provider. We store a customer reference and subscription identifier, never your full card number.
- Service history: care visit records, technician reports, care requests, and correspondence with our specialists.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to keep the service secure and functioning.
2.How We Use Your Information
- To deliver the service you paid for: scheduling visits, dispatching technicians, and maintaining your condition records.
- To process payments and manage your subscription, including renewals and failed-payment recovery.
- To communicate about your membership: visit confirmations, care reports, care request decisions, and billing notices.
- To give technicians the context they need before arriving, including furniture photographs and access notes.
- To improve our service protocols and train our technicians on material-specific care.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
3.Your Furniture Photographs
Photographs receive specific protection because of what they reveal about your home. They are stored in a private, access-controlled bucket and are never publicly accessible.
Only you, the technician assigned to your visit, and authorised administrative staff can view them. Access is granted through short-lived signed links that expire automatically rather than permanent URLs.
We will not use your photographs in marketing, case studies, or any public material without your separate, explicit, written permission. Consent for one image is not consent for others, and you may withdraw it at any time.
4.How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising. We disclose it only in these circumstances:
- Service providers who operate the platform on our behalf: our hosting and database provider, our payment processor, and our email delivery provider. Each is bound by contract to process data only on our instructions.
- Our technicians, who receive the information necessary to perform your visit.
- Legal compliance: where required by law, subpoena, or valid governmental request.
- Business transfers: if we are acquired or merged, your information may transfer as a business asset. You will be notified before any change in how it is handled.
5.Data Retention
We keep membership and service records for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for the period required by tax and accounting law.
Furniture records and condition history are retained after cancellation so you keep the documentation for insurance, resale, or estate purposes. You may request deletion at any time and we will honour it except where retention is legally required.
6.Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is enforced at the database level through row-level security policies, meaning the system itself prevents one member's records from being returned to another — this does not rely on application code being written correctly.
Passwords are hashed and never stored in a recoverable form. Administrative access is limited to staff whose role requires it and is logged.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
7.Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. Contact us to exercise any of them and we will respond within the period your law requires.
- Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: request erasure, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection: object to specific processing activities.
- Withdraw consent: where processing relies on your consent, withdraw it at any time.
8.Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the service — principally to keep you signed in and to protect against cross-site request forgery. Disabling them will prevent the member portal from working.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
9.Children
Our service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly.
10.Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our practices change. Material changes will be communicated by email to the address on your account and reflected in the effective date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
