Common tasks
Each of these is something you can do yourself from your member portal.
Booking or changing a care visit
- 1Care visits become bookable 60 days after your membership activates. Until then the calendar stays closed and there is nothing you need to do.
- 2Open Care Visits in your portal to see the windows technicians have published for your area, then choose one and confirm.
- 3You will get an email confirmation and a reminder before the day.
- 4To reschedule, cancel the existing booking first, then select a new window. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice — repeated late cancellations or no-shows can forfeit that year's visit.
Care plans include one visit a year; Complete Care includes two. Unused visits do not roll over into the next membership year.
Go to Care VisitsRegistering furniture and uploading photos
- 1Open Assets and add each piece with its maker, material, approximate age, and room. Your membership covers the number of pieces you registered when you enrolled.
- 2Photograph each piece in daylight, including any existing marks or wear.
- 3A complete baseline protects you: it is the record a technician works from, and it is what separates normal wear from damage that was already there.
- 4To cover more pieces than you registered, raise your piece count from Billing. The new pieces are covered once registered with photos, and your price updates at the next billing cycle.
Damage already visible in a piece's baseline is not covered work — it will be assessed and quoted separately. Photographs are stored privately and are never used in marketing without your separate written permission.
Go to AssetsMaking a care request
- 1Open Care Requests and select the piece you want us to look at. Only pieces you have registered can be covered.
- 2Describe what has changed and upload photographs of how it looks now.
- 3We compare it against your baseline and respond with our assessment and reasoning.
- 4If it falls outside your plan, we will say so plainly and quote the work separately rather than quietly declining it.
Care and cosmetic work is included in every plan. Minor structural and functional repairs need Care + Repair or Complete Care. Major rebuilding, full refinishing, complete reupholstery and disaster damage are outside every plan and are always quoted separately.
Go to Care RequestsBilling, plan changes, and cancellation
- 1Open Billing to view invoices, update your payment method, or change plan.
- 2Memberships run for a 12-month term. Upgrading is free, takes effect immediately, and restarts the term from that date.
- 3Cancelling before the term ends costs 50% of the remaining months. Downgrades are treated the same way, on the difference.
- 4If a payment fails, care eligibility pauses until it is resolved — updating your card restores it.
Paying yearly gives you twelve months of care for eleven months of payment. Switching between monthly and yearly takes effect at your next renewal.
Go to BillingAccount access and sign-in
- 1Use the password reset link on the sign-in page; the email arrives within a few minutes.
- 2Check spam if it does not appear, then try again before contacting us.
- 3To change the email on your account, update it under Account.
- 4We will never ask you for your password. Nobody from Furnish Care has any reason to.
What to expect during a technician visit
From the booking confirmation to the care report afterwards.
Before the day
- You will have the booked window in writing, plus a reminder before the day.
- Clear access to each registered piece — a technician cannot work around a full wardrobe or a stacked dining table.
- Note anything about parking, gates, lifts or pets on your profile so it travels with the dispatch.
- Someone over 18 needs to be at the property for the whole visit.
When the technician arrives
- They will introduce themselves by name and show identification. Our technicians are employed by us — never subcontracted.
- They walk the property with you and confirm the pieces on your register.
- You will be told what is planned for each piece before anything is touched.
During the visit
- Care work first: cleaning, conditioning, polishing, and protection appropriate to each material.
- Then cosmetic touch-ups, and — on Care + Repair and Complete Care — minor repairs such as loose joints, drawer glides, hinges and hardware.
- If a piece needs work outside your plan, the technician stops and quotes it. Nothing beyond your plan is carried out without your explicit approval.
- If something has deteriorated since your baseline, it is photographed and recorded on the spot.
After the visit
- Each piece gets fresh photographs added to its condition history, so you can see it change over time.
- You receive a care report covering what was done, what was noted, and anything to watch.
- Care recommendations for keeping the pieces in condition between visits.
- Any work quoted but not approved stays on record, so you can decide later without starting over.
If something goes wrong
Damage during a visit
Tell the technician immediately and photograph it before anything is moved. Then call 1-844-555-1991 the same day. Our technicians are our employees and we are insured for their work — you do not need to negotiate with a contractor or their insurer.
Unhappy with a visit or a decision
Email support@furnishcare.com describing what happened. A specialist who was not involved will review it, including re-examining a declined care request. If we got it wrong we will say so and put it right.
A billing charge looks wrong
Contact us before your bank. We can usually resolve a billing error within a business day, whereas a chargeback freezes the account while it is investigated and slows everything down for you. Duplicate and erroneous charges are refunded in full — see our refund policy.
